Due to our location we promote health and exercise in a range of ways that enable to engage safely in initiatives such as “walk to school” and “cycle to school” We work closely with parents to ensure our traffic management policy is followed and community police officer PC Juliet Murphy to ensure the safety of our pupils at all times.

Road Safety officer Kate Kerr works with school to offer Kerb Craft to years 2 & 3

On site safe cycling to year 5 and Safe Cycling National Standard (off site) to Year 6


Elected pupils from upper juniors take the responsibility as JRSO’s (Junior Road Safety Officers)

They support the pupil’s knowledge and understanding of Road Safety by leading projects in school.



To help ensure the safety of our pupils and staff on site there is a 5mph speed limit for all vehicles.

We ask parents and visitors to park in designated spaces only, and all pedestrian’s to keep to

the designated paths and use the zebra crossing.

To support on site safety the school gates are locked at 3pm and reopened at 3:25pm. Parents and visitors are welcome to park on site before 3pm to pick up and after 3:25pm
