We are a Nut-Free School

SNACKS:

Before Covid restrictions came into effect in March 2020 pupils in Lower Phase (Nursery to Year 2) were given a daily healthy snack (e.g. fruit, vegetable batons, bread sticks etc.), provided by the school, at a cost of £1.50 a week to parents/carers. Pupils from Years 3 to 6 were able to buy fruit from the kitchen at 35p a piece.

Currently, we are unable to run our Healthy Snack Scheme, and instead ask parents/carers to provide a daily snack of either fruit or vegetables.

The Welsh Government fund free milk for children in Lower Phase, which is offered to them daily (please note - we cannot offer a substitute for children with a lactose/dairy allergy) at no charge to parents.

TREATS:

While we are a healthy eating school, we also like to celebrate with the children, and therefore we do permit sweet treats or cake to be brought in to share with the class, when it is a child's birthday.

Do not send chocolate or sweets in for daily snacks - fruit and/or vegetables only please.
